A cutting-edge power duo
These two were simply made for each other, we thought, during the photo shoot with the Havanna dark and the exceptional electric sports car, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N. Not only do they harmonise visually, but the modern design of the Havanna, with its load capacity of up to 1,045 kilograms, is also a perfect match for the e-sportster Ioniq 5 N in terms of technical bravado.
The mounted size of 9.5x21 ET 45 was specifically crafted for this sporty Korean. Incidentally, it’s currently the only wheel on the market with an ECE approval for this vehicle.
The “N” makes the difference
While Hyundai was once known primarily for producing “sensible” everyday cars, today the “N” in the name stands for serious yet affordable sports cars. The fact that the nearly 2.3-ton Ioniq 5 has been graced with the sporty “N” badge is noteworthy.
Purely sporty electric cars are quite rare, especially in this price range. Additionally, the automotive press agrees that this “N” lives up to its badge.
Sporty & detailed
The modern appearance of the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N finds an ideal companion in the Havanna dark, which is not only very robust and capable. Its design language thrives on the intricate design of the wheel, which interprets the double-spoke theme in a futuristic manner.
The edged centre section opens outward towards the rim flange through asymmetrical, three-dimensional spokes, creating a pulsating, sporty impression. Besides the mounted size, the Havanna is also available in various dimensions from 8x19 to 10.5x21 inches. It looks great not only with a polished front and glossy black interior, but it’s also available in a subtler “grey,” which shifts the feel of this ECE-approved wheel even more towards a sporty look.
A cornering master with all-wheel drive
Beneath the modern exterior of the Ioniq are two electric motors producing a combined 650 horsepower, driving all four wheels.
The N can indeed run almost silently, but the sporty performance of the Korean is better complemented by the sound from the “N Active Sound” module, which is intended to evoke memories of its petrol-powered compact sibling, the i30 N. The powerful Ioniq reaches 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds and is reported to handle very sportily and swiftly even on the racetrack.
